Relive the enchantment and artistry of Walt Disney's classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, presented on the big screen in its 75th anniversary restoration. Lella Smith and J.B. Kaufman will be on hand to reveal fascinating secrets behind the creation of this masterpiece. Film 83 minutes plus discussion.

This screening is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic, on view now at The Walt Disney Family Museum in the Presidio of San Francisco, and is made possible through the support of Wells Fargo, the presenting sponsor of the exhibition.

Premiered in December 1937 and released in early 1938, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Walt Disney's first feature-length animated film and a huge gamble for his studio. Adapted from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, this artistic and historical groundbreaker still tops many lists of the greatest animated films of all time. It also introduced at least three song standards: "Heigh-Ho," "Some Day My Price Will Come" and "Whistle While You Work."

Lella Smith is guest curator of the exhibition Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic and is Creative Director of the Walt Disney Company's Animation Research Library. Film historian J.B. Kaufman is on the staff of the Walt Disney Family Foundation and has published extensively on Disney animation; he is author of the exhibition catalogue.

The exhibition Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic celebrates Walt Disney's vision and the artistry of his dedicated staff. The exhibition is on view through April 14 at The Walt Disney Family Museum, located at The Presidio of San Francisco, 104 Montgomery Street. For more information visit waltdisney.org
